Participants required for a research study on outcome measurement in Functional Neurological Disorder (FND)

We are seeking participants for a study on stakeholder views on outcome measurement in functional neurological disorder (FND). We are looking to recruit patients diagnosed with FND (included NEAD), individuals who support patients in daily life (e.g., relatives, partners, or friends), and healthcare professionals who work with people with FND.

The study involves an individual interview with a research associate, involving answering questions about a range of issues, (e.g., the impact of FND, experiences of treatments, expectations regarding outcomes/recovery). The study will take approximately 1-2 hours to complete and there will be reimbursement for time (£20)* and travel expenses (up to £30), where incurred.

To be eligible for the study, potential participants should:

  • Have a diagnosis of FND or support someone with FND in daily life or have at least one year of experience as a healthcare professional working with people with FND.
  • Be aged 18 years or older
  • Be fluent in English

If you know of any participants who may be suitable, or if you wish to participate in the study yourself, please contact Susannah Pick on 020 7848 0965 or susannah.pick@kcl.ac.uk

*excluding healthcare professionals – interviews will be conducted during working hours
